Unholy Genius

Then a scenic sojourn back to Denver via the beautiful and virtually uninhabited San Luis Valley, during which my ass was pinned to the seat, confounded by the unholy genius of the Oblio Joes "Sin Tax and Some Antics" album. I tell you, the combination of the scenic drive and that album had me covered in goosebumps for the better part of an hour. I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I feel that the complexity of aesthetic vision found on that album is every bit as advanced as the late-period Beatles or "Pet Sounds"-era Brian Wilson were in their day. If you are not yet wise to these Oblio Joes, please get thee up to speed forthwith, at the risk of thine own imperilment. |
